ORDERING & PROCURMENT
MeadowPatch™ is often custom grown for each project with specified species mix. It’s best to place your order with plenty of time. Inquire about pre-vegetated mixes for the season.
We recommend planting MeadowPatch™ the same season it is grown for best results.
Popular choices include drought tolerant native wildflowers, sedums, and ground covers like thyme. This is our favorite product for “Coloradoscaping”.
Due to the growing format, MeadowPatch™ has a limited implementation window.
INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
Soil Requirements : Native and adaptive plants are not fussy about soil conditions. Use existing garden soil, a loam or screened top soil.
Level or contour soil as desired, ensure to remove any visible weeds prior to planting.
Lightly wet the soil and apply a balanced organic fertilizer.
MeadowPatch™ can be laid in a continuous 100% coverage approach, in individual pieces or cut into smaller divisions.
Cut as needed with a utility knife.
Ensure exposed edges are covered with soil.
Water deeply immediately after planting and then every 2-3 days until plants have rooted in the soil
MAINTENANCE OVERVIEW
Once established, MeadowPatch™ require minimal maintenance.
If used in a garden setting, we recommend cutting the previous years growth back early spring. This allows seed heads to reach maturity and provides habitat for insects, and provides a food source for birds.
Fertilize at installation and annually if desired using a balanced N-P-K controlled release product.
